Hello everyone,
My name is Ashley, and I am new to the P90x world. I just recently started (5/2/11) and so far so good! Don't get me wrong, this workout is not a piece of cake. It takes a lot of time and devotion to complete each day. I have had to miss a few hear and there and I have altered my schedule to include an extra week at the beginning 1- to help me survive and 2- so that my recovery week would be while we were on vacation. This has worked well for me, because I missed a few workouts in the first couple of weeks it's kind of like a catch up week.
Nutrition-
As far as my nutrition goes, I have not given up junk food cold turkey. I have significantly changed how I eat, yes. But I did not do it over night. I had to wean myself on to whole grain breads, and wean myself onto natural peanut butter. I have made slow and steady choices that will benefit me. I am not out to have a miracle fix in ninety days. I am out to have a lifestyle change.
I have a recovery drink, but do I use it everyday? No! I don't always feel like I need it. Sometimes, I will just have a protein/fruit smoothie. I do what works for me.
